Les [[reliques]] de saint Nectaire furent enlevées de sa tombe le [[2 septembre]] 1953, et elles libérèrent un magnifique parfum. La reconnaissance officielle de Nectaire en tant que saint eut lieu le [[20 Avril]] 1961 par le Patriarcat oecuménique. Des milliers de miracles lui ont été attribués, surtout des guérisons de cancers et autres maladies graves.
